Very interesting studying platform
ReplyDeleteWhat social media outlets do you currently use? I am sure all of you are active social media participants:) How often do you use it? For which purposes?
ReplyDeleteFacebook long time ago but Twitter lately for fun. The most recent social media platform i'm using is blogger which i signed up for today. Seems interesting!
ReplyDeleteFacebook - weekly
ReplyDeleteTwitter - almost daily use
Youtube - weekly
Blogger - this my first time and im so excited
I personally use Face-book,Twitter,Youtube. Blogger is the latest one obviously. Well, In terms of active engagement, Twitter rinks the first place to me . I tweet and update it more than 3 times a day. Then Face-book comes at the second most used platform. The purposes vary to me from posting personal updates, sharing pictures and communicating with local and global fiends. It's getting little distracting recently as there are lots of platforms to join and follow on the network, but I will try to handle it and be active on the most important and famous ones out there !
ReplyDeleteok, so you all are active users of social media. Let's now talk about how social media has been impacting your life. In your opinion, did the way you communicate with your friends change since you started using social media? Would your relationship with others change if you do not have social media? Explain your thoughts.
ReplyDeletelooking forward to reading your blogs:)

ReplyDeleteActually my first time to participate in a social media site was for the bazaar as I advertised for the business I had on FaceBook. It was a great experience for me, as I knew how to communicate and deal with UAE society and other international societies. I use social media sites when ever am free to.
ReplyDeleteAm looking forward to participate on the blog with useful discussions.
Well, i consider myself as a beginner in social media sites. I started using Facebook at my first semester of this year regarding the bazaar , but now am becoming and trying to be active in it and be in touch with many people and share a lot of useful things and information.
ReplyDeleteAt the beginning of this semester I become a twitter user and YouTube, but I usual use twitter and I love using it because it keeps me aware of almost everything. Finally i recently joined blogger which looks interesting, hope I can manage to deal with those amazing social media web sites.
When I began using social media, I began communicating with lots of people, and exploring a new world. My relationship with others won’t change if I do not use social media, it would’ve stayed the same, but now when I began interacting, my relationship with others and my communication skills changed in a better way.
ReplyDeleteYes Noura ! The most importing thing is the useful discussions; i am looking forward for them!
ReplyDeleteI’m new in the social media world and I’m just start to make accounts in some social media sites at this semester
ReplyDeleteheey lulu : wish you all the best :)
ReplyDeleteKeep it up Girls !!
ReplyDeleteI start to use the social media site in the bazzar project by making an account in the Facebook, and then I begin to add people and share them some ideas and stories, so by that way I learn more about dealing with people and social media.
ReplyDeleteIn general, do you think that social media is good? if its not, why is that?
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, It is good to enhance your communication skills and to share your experience in different majors and to discuss topics that are important to us as a society.
ReplyDeleteSocial media has entered my life in a very special way. Allowing me to connect with the whole world. Simply I can connect to anyone anywhere by few clicks on my keyboard. Anyone can share his/her knowledge to each and everyone and stay updated with the comments of others. I can find jobs and services very easily without wasting much time and energy. Personally I think that the social media changed the stranded way of meeting people and making relations.
ReplyDeleteresponding to your quetion muna, yes in general social media is good, but it depend how and in what you are using it.
ReplyDeleteI did notice a major difference in my life since I started networking and socializing on social media platforms. Firstly I became gradually more engaged and interactive with global events and the community-raised issues by online newspaper tweeps and groups, as I wasn't that type of person who read news constantly. Moreover I got on touch with numerous well-known celebrities whom I always dreamed of knowing them in person to share thoughts and know them more like famous journalists, Sheikhs’ sons and daughters and worldwide actors and actress. One negative side of the usage of social media platforms I discovered is when I get super excited and obsessed with social media websites I tend to overuse my blackberry device to check my accounts and others’ updates which led me sometimes to serious eyes side effects besides wasting my planned timetable on unnecessary things. Regardless of the mentioned negative sides, I still strongly believe in the vital role of social media in our daily life.
ReplyDeleteThe way i communicate with my friends have definately changed since i used social media. i can easily ask about them and chat in a quick way rather than calling them. in fact, i found some friends whom i lost contact with throughout the years. we began chatting and communicating more than ever and social media is helped with that. my relationship with others might change without social media because being busy in life sometimes lets you forget about connecting with family and friends. therefore, without social media i may forget about birthday dates, communicating with others, and much more.
ReplyDeleteanswering Muna's question, i think social media is not just good but excellent. it has many advantages like, communicating easily with others, advertising for your company or business, and knowing the latest news around the world. However, people may mis use social media and damage it's reputation.
ReplyDeleteMy question to you all, do you think that social media would be as strong as it is now after 15-20 years? why or why not?
Thank you Noura, Moza, and Alia :)
ReplyDeleteAlia: I think after 15 - 20 years more things will be discovered, and social media will be an old tool ... lOOOl :)
I think that Alia , the social media will be strong and it will be stronger than know because there are many more peoples start to know and learn more about social media and to communicate will others
ReplyDeletewell i mainly use:
ReplyDelete- Facebook
- Twitter
- youtube
i use them everyday i like to see what are people doing and participate. I comment, put pictures, and see latest adds
well social media made me less talkative in the open i just observe peoples behavior in real life than talking to them.
ReplyDeleteI prefer to interact with people online but still call by the phone but its becoming less but i dont think my relations would be affected at all i always separate my personal life and interest from my outside relations such as family and friends they all have a part of my time.
Which one do you enjoy more:
ReplyDelete1. socializing with friends face-to-face?
2. communicating through social media?
Why?
Long live social media :)
Definitely I enjoy socializing with friends face to face rather than communicating through social media. The reason is because social media can occasionally isolates individuals from being on touch with their relatives and friends. Friends often tend to over text or tweet each others when they want to say hi, rather than meeting face to face to build stronger relationships. In spite of that, I do think that if our usage of social media has been reasonable, realistic and used in the appropriate way it would remain to be the easiest, fastest and the most effortless way to communicate with friends !
ReplyDeleteI like to interact with my friends face to face because its more fun and i can see their expressions. I think you can feel the person who is next to you rather than only see text and reply with few words.
ReplyDeletePersonally, i enjoy socializing with friends face to face for many reasons like, we can interact more deeply. However, socializing through social media platforms is a shallow way to have a conversation with your friend. in addition, face to face socializing is much more fun because i can see their facial expressions.
ReplyDeleteI prefer socializing face to face, because it’s better to see the other party reaction and face expression because I may say something that keeps the other partner shocked or curious about who will be shy to talk about in an open place.
ReplyDeletePersonally I find both pleasing, but talking in person is much better sometimes showing our true emotions in physical ways make situations a lot easier than trying to put it all into words. For an example, even a simple word or phrase may be taken the wrong way by itself because there’s too many different ways that anything can be meant just by using different types of emotions. :)
ReplyDeletepersonally, I prefer socializing through social media, because i find it much easier and I can communicate with unlimited number of friends
ReplyDeleteAnswering Alia’s question, about if we think that social media would be as strong as it is now after 15-20 years? Why or why not?
ReplyDeleteI think it would be stronger, but there will be a lot of competitors! Because with all this development in technology and how fast those media people can do in minutes or hours by creating new things for social media or communication and networking are amazing ! And by this I guess there will be many competitors.
it's interesting to share our thoughts together and good luck corp-com in your portfolio =)
ReplyDeleteit's very excited, good luck girls
